Rest your body and restore your energy.

Root in Love and Wisdom by befriending loving ancestors, aspects of the divine, and plants, animals, stars, rivers, mountains, etc.

How it works:

We start Saturday Dec. 16 at 10am and meet daily until Thursday Dec. 21, the day of the Winter Solstice.

1️⃣ Each day Aminata leads you on a gradual journey of releasing resting and rooting. Each Live call includes meditation, poetry, music, participant sharing, and tree communication.

If you miss a morning, listen to the recording and follow it on your own.

2️⃣ Each afternoon pick a soul expanding activity such as practicing the Secret Power of the Compassionate Witness or Sacred Listening for the gift of winter and the long nights.

3️⃣ Use your Retreat Bundle of teas, journal, incense, eye mask and herbs to transport you and make retreating at home a multi-sensual experience.

4️⃣Use our prompts to Write or draw in your Winter Solstice Retreat Journal just before bed so that you can track your growth and bring forward those insights into 2024.  

5️⃣Capture your dreams first thing in the morning because as you unwind and release into winter, your Wise Self, beloved ancestors, and spiritual guides may speak to you. Share your dreams during the morning calls.

The Soul Journey culminates in the Winter Solstice Ceremony on Dec. 21, the longest night of the year.  

Unwind the busyness; descend into the darkness of winter as if returning to the womb of mother earth.

FAQ

Can I do this retreat if I have to work? You can go to work each day and listen to the recordings on your lunch break or when you get home. The daily meditations will refresh you! 

What if I can't really slow down until after Christmas? Come to the retreat each day for an hour to use it as your grounding and refreshment. Then use the replays starting at Day One on the day after Christmas.

What if I just want the Makeda Magic Retreat Bundle? We have limited supplies! You can purchase a bundle on the Winter Solstice Page.

What if I really want to do this but the money is a challenge now? We have a payment plan. You can spread it over two months. We also have a small number of partial scholarships--thanks to a supporter! Email me to inquire.
