Just a year ago I had a vision of a circle of women holding hands inside a ring of trees under the moonlight. Our hearts emanated white-blue light and each one of us had a unique frequency that harmonized and made us strong.
Before we can make that happen, we each need to restore trust with ourselves.
Self-trust allows us to create boundaries and agreements that honor our needs and joys.
But saying it is easier than practicing it.
Do you know my story?

A couple of years ago I slowed down my very successful racial justice training and consultancy practice. I got the message that the trees in my backyard wanted to adopt me. I was shocked, embarrassed and wondered if I was going “crazy.” But little by little I began to relate to the trees in my yard and throughout the neighborhood. I used journaling as a way to communicate and even got a tent so I wouldn’t feel so exposed and weird communing with trees. I heard beautiful messages of love; how to deal with past trauma; how to stop overworking and overgiving, and more.

I got the courage to take a sabbatical and experiment with applying their advice. Now I walk around the land that I share with the trees (aka my yard) and I feel like part of a loving family. These trees have helped me transform guilt from mistakes I’ve made in my work and family into acceptance; I feel light and safe when leaning up against mamma maple; I feel the magnetism of the red maple Ancestor Tree; and my worries about cash flow disappear. I no longer feel gripped by fear about my children’s safety. I trust my decision when I say “No” or “Not now.” I trust me. I am enough. I have what I need. The wisdom is simple and powerful. I just had to slow down and open up my senses to perceive the love vibrating 24-7!

Daily Themes & Schedule
We start each morning in the Equinox Altar Room, a dedicated space via zoom at 10-11am eastern. Aminata and her guest teachers will teach you how to realize your vision, using the principles of Rooting and Restoring Self-Trust.
We will co-create simple rituals to draw on the strength and guidance of Beloved Ancestors, Trees/Plants, the Divine, and our Hearts.
We will use the tools of guided meditation, hypnosis, gentle movement, journaling, and weave poetry and music into a brief discussion of the day's theme.
After the call, you choose a Guided Activity that will help you connect more deeply with the theme and nature within you as a friend and guide. We will provide gentle step by step guidance for connecting with nature or you may simply follow your intuition.

After fifteen years of intense work as the founder of a non-profit theatre and racial justice consultancy, Aminata got burnt out. Over the course of a two-year learning journey, she has uncovered deeper truths underneath social justice. Befriending trees and journeying with plants and fungi, she subsequently received her new names from an ancestor. She has since integrated the wisdom from trees into her podcast and community Mother Tree Network and continues her deep apprenticeship to the Earth and the feminine divine.
Aminata founded Racial Justice from the Heart and authored the Amazon best-seller Stop Being Afraid: 5 Steps to Transform your Conversations about Racism. She had a spiritual awakening in 2021 when she received the message to stop everything and that the trees on her land wanted to adopt her.
