Experiential Learning
Dr. Kemp offers 3 different kinds of experiential learning opportunities:
[1] Workshops
A trained facilitator in the Beyond Diversity 101 curriculum, Dr. Kemp offers customized workshops in varying lengths from 2 hours to 5 days. Workshops help build communication, connection and appreciation of difference. Dr. Kemp's workshops assist people in their movement through guilt and anger to mutual compassion, joy and a hunger for continued learning. Focusing on multiple kinds of diversity, including sexuality, class, race, and gender, Dr. Kemp uses dynamic techniques which invite people to stretch beyond their comfort zones. Intended for people targeted by various forms of discrimination as well as those who benefit from institutional privilege, these experiential learning opportunities offer groups and individuals a safe but challenging space to do their own healing and values clarification.
The Ancestors Workshop

By ancestors, we mean biological, spiritual, political, or artistic forbears who have no passed over. The intent is to empower ourselves and consider what the ancestors might be calling on us to do today. Appropriate for ages 12 on up. Workshop usually runs 2 hours but can be abbreviated for school groups
